About Volocopter

Volocopter GmbH, founded in 2011 in Bruchsal, Germany, designed the VoloCity — a piloted, two-seat (1 pilot + 1 passenger) multirotor eVTOL aimed at short urban hops. The aircraft uses an 18-rotor architecture for redundancy and noise reduction.

Status note: Volocopter filed for insolvency proceedings under German Schutzschirm protection on 26 December 2024, despite EASA having granted the VoloCity limited operations earlier that year. Profile retained for spec comparison.
