About REGENT

REGENT builds the Viceroy, a twelve-passenger all-electric seaglider. It is included here as an adjacent category rather than a true eVTOL: it operates in ground effect a few metres above the water, docks like a boat, and is regulated as a maritime vessel rather than as an aircraft. That distinction is the whole point, because it sidesteps the aircraft type certification bottleneck holding up every eVTOL programme.

For coastal city pairs the practical result is similar to an air taxi: roughly 180 mph over water at a fraction of a helicopter’s operating cost. REGENT launched its 2026 sea trial campaign in Rhode Island with both the crewed Viceroy and the autonomous Squire, and is opening a 255,000 square foot factory.

In January 2026 the private members club XXV ordered 30 Viceroys for US east coast routes including New York to the Hamptons, Boston to Nantucket, Palm Beach to Miami and Miami to the Bahamas, with first deliveries as early as 2027. Total backlog exceeds USD 10 billion against more than USD 100 million raised.
