The Viceroy carries twelve passengers over water, riding on a cushion of air a few metres above the surface. It floats on its hull at rest, rises onto hydrofoils to get up to speed, then transitions into wingborne ground-effect flight.
Because it never leaves ground effect it is certified by the US Coast Guard as a maritime vessel, avoiding the aircraft type certification queue entirely. For coastal city pairs it delivers air-taxi journey times without the aviation regulatory burden.
