Manhattan to East Hampton

The classic summer charter run, and the route where seagliders make more sense than aircraft.

Manhattan to the Hamptons is about 95 miles and already supports a busy seasonal charter market by helicopter and seaplane at USD 700 to 1,200 per seat. Almost the entire path is over water, which makes it the natural case for a REGENT seaglider rather than an eVTOL.

The Viceroy carries twelve passengers at around 155 mph in ground effect, docking at existing marine terminals instead of requiring a vertiport. Private members club XXV ordered 30 Viceroys in January 2026 specifically for east coast routes including this one.

Range is the reason eVTOLs struggle here: 95 miles each way exceeds the practical round-trip range of most current designs without a charge stop.
