HEXA
Single-seat 18-rotor multirotor flown by the customer under FAA Part 103, with float landing gear for operations over water.
The HEXA carries one occupant beneath a ring of 18 independent rotors, each with its own motor and battery. That redundancy is the core of the safety case: the aircraft is designed to keep flying after losing several motors, and it carries a whole-aircraft ballistic parachute for the rest.
Landing gear is a set of composite floats, so it can set down on water as well as land. Flight time is short, around ten to fifteen minutes, which is a direct consequence of lifting on rotors alone with no wing to carry the aircraft in cruise.
Because it is flown by the customer rather than a commercial pilot, and is limited to one seat by Part 103, the HEXA is not a charter aircraft. It is the most accessible electric VTOL experience currently on sale.
