London Heathrow to Canary Wharf

Heathrow to Canary Wharf crosses the whole of London, about 22 miles. The Elizabeth Line has improved it, but door to door with luggage still runs 70 to 100 minutes. Vertical Aerospace has named it among its target UK routes for the Valo.

The obstacles are substantial. UK airspace over central London is among the most tightly controlled anywhere, the CAA has not yet certified any eVTOL, and there is currently one licensed heliport in the city, at Battersea. Canary Wharf has a helipad but limited slots.

Vertical is targeting 2028 certification, so this route is a late-decade prospect rather than a near-term booking.
