LAX to Downtown Los Angeles
The LA28 Olympic showcase route, about 18 miles that regularly take over an hour on the 105 and 110.
Archer is the official air taxi provider for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and LAX to Downtown is the flagship demonstration route. It is roughly 18 miles and routinely takes 60 to 80 minutes by road.
Los Angeles is unusually well suited to this. It has the densest network of existing helipads of any US city, a legacy of building codes that once required rooftop landing areas on tall buildings, so the landing infrastructure question is far less severe than in New York.
Joby has also named Los Angeles as a launch market with Delta. Expect both operators to fly the corridor.
